Redeeming iTunes card

I bought two iTunes cards this afternoon and when I went to redeem them it is giving me a message that says that my cards were not properly activated. I have been back to the store I purchased the cards from and was told to wait a few hours before activating them. I have waited and went back to redeem them and it is still saying they were not properly activated.

If the store can't or won't activate them properly, try contacting iTunes Support (they are likely to want to see images of the front and back of the card and its receipt) : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/ww  (click on your country's flag, the country where you live, and which is therefore the country on the account ; click on Get Support)
