No. It is soldered to the logic board and Apple does not upgrade on request after sale.


External disk are required for more storage.


If you are within 14 days of purchase you can return for a new system.

I prefer custom setups. OWC (macsales.com) sells mac-friendly products. They sell "enclosures" that you can swap multiple drives through. All-in-one drives pair middling-quality interface cards with middling-quality drives. OWC enclosures are good interface cards, and swapping good-quality drives makes good external storage.


The better names in drives can change every year, but Seagate usually has good quality in spinny drives, and Crucial SSDs (OWC sells them) work well with Macs.


With the enclosure you can have a TimeMachine drive (or 3), an external clone (CarbonCopyClone, $40ish, bombich.com) ... or 3. You can have several data drives.
