For some reason the iTunes is unable to load the update and restore my iPad to factory settings even though I've got enough space on my Mac and do all the steps. The recovery simply does not go beyond the promise to download the update and restore the device.
Can you please help me?

Unfortunately, the answer is not helpful, as I go through all the steps mentioned in the article, but nothing changes. A new window pops up saying: 'The iPad could not be restored because the firmware file is not compatible'. What's the point in automatically downloading the incompatible firmware file?.. Or does the AI have a mind of its own?.. =)
