How can I delete large amounts of mail on my iPad? Select all and clicking trash doesn’t work if there are a lot of emails to delete.

When I have a large number of emails, for example I had 50 at one time, it took a few seconds for them to be deleted when I tapped select all and then delete all. How long did you wait before you noticed that they weren’t getting deleted?
I did wait a few seconds. I’ll try waiting longer. I have over 100 to delete most times. Thanks for your reply!
I had 10 to delete. I waited a minute and nothing happened. This is an iPad running iOS 13.

I don’t know what to say. I am on 13.3 also with no problem. I don’t think deleting the email account and creating it again would do anything. You may want to ask this at an Apple Store to see if they have any suggestions.
I can’t delete all mail on my iPad. It will do it if there aren’t too many. I have to delete each one separately
