Ask; I reset an Ipad and Iphone to factory settings and created a new account for both, both the same account.
I still had an old account which was previously on the Iphone and Ipad but I just deleted it!
does this still affect the Iphone and Ipad?

The only thing I can think of is that you will need to repurchase any app that you might have had from the old account. Apps are permanently tied to the Apple ID used to purchase them.
