MacBook Air (2014) power cord issues

When my MacBook Air (2014) gets disconnected from the power cord, it shuts down. However, if the power cord is not connected at all, my macbook works fine. It only shuts down the moment the power cord gets disconnected. Any ideas why?

MacBook Air shuts off when I plug in the charger? Basically what happens is I plug the charger into the MacBook Air while it is on, and once the charger is plugged in, the Mac shuts off. I can turn it on just fine while the charger is already in the Mac, but plugging it in while the Mac is on just shuts it off. Don't know what is causing this issue. I went to a Mac specialist and he said that he had never seen this issue before, and to send it in for diagnostics, but I currently don't have the money for that. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks i tried SMC also it's not working
