You have an iPad. you believe that this iPad is asking for a new passcode.


Which iPad doesn’t do, unless you’re in the passcode reset sequence.


Which means there’s probably something else happening here.


Possibly you’re entering the wrong passcode, or this iPad is somehow confused and has lost its passcode.


Or the iPad has been remotely locked.


Or the iPad is asking for Activation Lock, which is different from the passcode.


You cannot get into your iPad. You believe it to be asking for a new passcode.


What is the exact text of the passcode message you’re encountering?


Is this an existing iPad that you’ve had for a while, or is this iPad new to you?
