My broadband is so pathetic that I decided it might be better to download the next episode of The Morning Show to watch later. But there is no download option and my reading of Apple’s spiel says there should be. It is a MacBook pRo running Safari. I thought maybe I needed to download a special TV+ ‘app’ but Apple’s sites refer to an app but don’t offer links to download one. Any help much appreciated

The web access tv.apple.com doesn’t offer download options.
The Apple TV app on macOS Catalina 10.15 does offer download options. You cannot run the Apple TV app on earlier versions macOS. The Apple TV app is one of the bundled applications with macOS Catalina.
