superscript in emails Mail mac 10.15

How to use superscript in Mail Version 13.0 (3608.40.2.2.4), macOS Catalina 10.15.2 (19C57), iMac (21.5-inch, Late 2013).

This is more of a convenient issue. I would like to use superscript with carbon dioxide CO2.

Thank you ahead of time.

You can compose your chemical formula within Pages by using the Format menu : Font : Baseline menu to apply superscript and subscript to the formula. Then copy/paste the formula from Pages into the body of your Mail message. The baseline changes survive in the received email via Apple Mail.
