Airpods PRO, on multiple devices?! how come only a single connection?

I did read in the specification that it can hold up to 5 simultaneous connections, that was one of the major buying points together with noise reduction, just as I have on bose qc35.... and I though for this price it would be the same for this compact earphones. BUT!!!!! I connected Mac book pro and a an android OnePlus 6T, AND - Airpods PRO disconnect from the other device, when I connect either one!!!!!!

Am I doing something wrong or would I really need to tolerate a manual re-connection every time I need switch between devices? Like when you get off a video conf on a notebook and a phone call comes in? Thats a significant issue over which I will return the product even.

Hello, Burleh.

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.

From what I understand is that you want to know how many devices the AirPods Pro can be connected to. What you're experiencing is expected behavior. The AirPods Pro can only be connected to one device at a time. However, AirPods are connected to your iPhone and Apple Watch at the same time. Sound automatically switches between them: Connect and use your AirPods and AirPods Pro
