When attempting to add a new contact to "Contacts," during some point of entering the information, the program skips to an existing contact and deletes what I've just typed. Please, are there any solutions to this instability?

Safe Boot from the HD, (holding Shift key down at startup), does the problem occur in Safe Mode?
Safe mode attempts to repair Disks & clears lots of caches, so if Safe Mode works try again in regular boot.
So, if I do a "safe boot," that may clean up some issues, is that correct? And, then how would I get out of safe boot mode and return to normal mode?

Yes, that is what we're hoping for, just reratart normally to get outof Safe mode/// no keys held on startup.
