I don't have definitive data, but if I am sleeping with my watch on, it uses more battery if I'm in theater mode than regular mode.....anybody else experience this?

From what I've read is that your Apple Watch uses more battery life in theater mode. I'd like to help and while my watch doesn't drain as rapidly when in theater mode, I do have some information that may help you with this. Be sure to try all of the tips provided in this article for battery preservation: Maximizing Battery Life and Lifespan

Do you have any apps that may be running in the background?

You can also unpair/pair your Apple Watch to troubleshoot any possible software issues cause this:

Set up your Apple Watch

Let me know if this helps.

I have tried all the tips. I'm wondering if anyone else has experience this?

For example, I wake up at 5AM, take watch off charger, put on fully charged watch (100%) and set to theater mode, sleep for two hours, watch is at 94%.

Next morning, do the same thing EXCEPT not putting watch into theatre mode- after two hours, watch shows 100%.

Consistent, unexplainable.
