spam email

Since Jan 1, I've gotten 3, what I'm convinced are, spam emails from "Apple ID" threatening to lock me out of my account or asking that I confirm a purchase. This is rare!

Was it something I did, a site I recently went to, some new onslaught....?

Spam email about Apple ID You all, I got a very official looking email but of course I checked my account first and then the sender email. I received an email saying my apple id is lock. How can I confirm that this is real and not a fishing scam? I keep getting emails that say my Apple ID is locked. Below is the headline of my email. Important! : Your Apple ID Has Been Temporary Locked And Hold All Your Subscription, Thursday 7 September 2023. reff#8693419185 It also has a PDF to open. I didn't open it or respond. Is this a fishing scam? I'm coming straight to Apple to check.

Multiple people post every day that they have received similar emails. It isn't something you did. It is scammers trying to get your information.
