When I try to pair the TV, it just searches to finally show the AirPods not On

I am trying to connect to my Samsung TV (series 6). I have other bluetooth earphones connected already and they all work. It does see the AirPods in the bluetooth list but when I try to pair (the TV asked for Pairing Needed), it just searches to finally show the AirPods not On... I really don’t know what to do. I upgraded my TV software and still does not work. Can you help?
