Unable to access data

I’m studying abroad in Sweden and just switched my SIM card to a Tele2 card provided by the school. We are supposed to have data. When I’m connected to WiFi, I can access the internet, social media, etc. when I’m not connected to WiFi, I can only make calls and send texts, but not through iMessage. My phone shows that is has a connection, and has a 4G symbol.

Does anyone know what the problem may be? I will attach images of the 4G and my data settings.

Hi swimfreakemi,

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.

I see that you are experiencing an issue with accessing data on your iPhone. You can follow the steps in this article that talks about if you can’t connect to cellular data: If you see No Service or Searching on your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support

Towards the bottom of the article, are steps to contact the carrier. I would also contact the school as well. There may be a special profile set up limiting data.

I hope those steps help.

Cheers!
