Multiple worksheets

Im new to numbers so forgive me (haha).

Im trying to reference a cell on one budget spreadsheet to another or have multiple budget spreadsheets referencing a cell on another.

Hi Paul,


I am not sure whaat you are trying to do. Part of it may be terminology.

A Numbers document is a spreadsheet.

A sheet in a Numbers spreadsheet is a canvas that can hold numerous tables.


If you are trying to reference a cell in another Numbers document (a separate spreadsheet) then you are out of luck. You cannot link between to separate documents.


If you are trying to link between a cell in a table in say, Sheet 1 to a cell in a table in Sheet 2 then this is not hard.

In the destination cell, type "=".

this will bring up the function editor.

Navigate to the sheet::table:cell you are referencing and click in it.

There you go.
