Switch from AT&T to Consumer Cellular on my iPad Pro, iPad still says AT&T, no option for CC.

Im trying to switch from ATT cell service to Consumer Cell. I have 2 iPhone 6s's that are unlocked and one ipad pro. ATT has removed my ipad from my account, i have put the CC sim card in my ipad pro but i still see ATT as my service provider in settings/celldata. There is no connection thru cell service even tho i see bars for a good connection.

I had researched that the ipad is not locked to a provider and can be used with various providers. I bought this ipad used a few years ago and not from AT&T.

ipad pro 9.7'' 12.4.1

Thank you for any ideas and comments you may have!!!!

In my search for help i found this:

"After several loops between Consumer Cellular support and Apple online support (as well as an on-site visit to the Apple store where I bought my new IPad Pro a week and a half ago) I am finally connecting successfully.First thing is to insert the free Consumer Cellular SIM card - and do all the usual set-up stuff. (I even did a system reset at one point)...The key to success - provided by a Consumer Cellular support woman late this afternoon - was to go to the following web address and do the install:www.consumercellular.com/API/assets/APN/consumercellularweb.mobileconfig''

I did try that, but it did not help... In settings it still says ATT for the provider.
