Restoring disabled iPad with MacBook Air

iPad is disabled, says "connect to itunes". I connect it to MacBook Air - with latest update - to restore it and it takes about 20 minutes supposedly restoring the iPad but at the end nothing happens. iPad still disabled. What do i do?

If you forgot the passcode for your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, or your device is disabled - Apple Support
