Is there a way to make the letters lowercase on engraved AirPods Pro?

I had the AirPods in my cart with lower case letters for my engraving, but as soon as this emoji option appeared a few days later my engraving was gone from the item in my cart and I could only add it back using CAPITAL letters.

I contacted Apple support to ask about it because I have no interest in the emojis and i don’t care for the feel of CAPITAL letters “shouting” at me. Support checked and told me lower case letters are not supported at this time.

Seemed strange to me so I waited a couple weeks but still no choice for small letters. How can a choice of 15 emojis be more personalized than writing something how I want it?

I’m still debating if I should wait and see or just buy them with all CAPS.
