connect a 3.5mm microphone to iPad Pro through USB-C

I want to connect a 3.5mm TRS or TRRS microphone (without headphones) to my iPad Pro 12.9 3rd generation which has a USB-C connector.

I can’t seem to find an adaptor. Any ideas?

iPad Pro, iOS 13

From the spec’s there’s no guarantee that the adapter will work with a Mic - but the cost of the adapter is low enough to be low-risk if it doesn’t work.

You’ll need to ensure that you wire your “Mic” correctly. The standard Apple TRRS pinout is:

Tip - Right

R1 - Left

R2 - Common

Sleeve (outer) - Microphone
