Hide keyboard function from menu bar not working.

What to do now?

As you can see, I have unchecked the option to show keyboard on menu bar and it did not disappear, even after restarting the mac.

You unchecked the option to show "keyboard viewer", which is something different. You need to go to system preferences/keyboard/input sources and uncheck another box to get rid of the "input menu".
