All the rules for mail have disappeared from my desktop.

January 14th 2020 - 14th

All my mail rules have disappeared from MAIL on my desktop. I have not changed anything. I went to System Preferences to find the whole thing changed. I'd like to have my rules back. ONLY Apple news shows up in the rules window.

Using macOS Catalina Version 10.15.2

I'm so frustrated with Apple changing everything all the time. I beginning to think going back to paper would be less time wasted. I've had apples since 1980 but now it's all so "helpful" it's a pain. I can make up my own mind what I think is important and don't need hints or things all rearranged by someone else.

When exactly did the change occur, did you make any changes to the system like updating it. The very worst case is you can restore from your Time Machine backup to a time mail was working okay. I was able to find an article that may be able to help you:
