ipod gen 2 diabled with another account

My sister gave me her old gen 2 i pod. well we live separate. well it wont connect to my itunes because it is still connected to hers. btu she has made a new one since then and forgot everything about it. so is there anything i can do to get it unlocked and synced to my itunes?
