cant get anything going with my ipad 2.

Have you tried a hard reset of your iPad by holding down both the Home and sleep/wake buttons simultaneously until your iPad goes to black and restarts with Apple logo, then release the buttons?

If the now-edited personal information is what I think it was, you will want to change that immediately.

I’m unclear if the problem iPad is a very old iPad 2, or a rather more recent iPad Pro 12.9” 2nd gen.

Try the restart that mentioned earlier.

Hopefully, there’s a local backup, or iCloud backup here.
