I deleted my watch app (app on the iphone) before thinking id never use it. Now I have been gifted an apple watch and can't set it up because the watch app is missing, and when i try to download it from the app store on my phone it says - Unable to install "Watch" Please try again later.
My ios system is up to date and i have already tried restarting the phone.

What worked for me; sign out of iCloud, hard reset, cleared App Store cache, downloaded Watch app & it worked. I then logged myself back into iCloud & it worked.
Have you read this whole thread? It isn't you, it is Apple, they are having issues with the App Store. You will have to wait until it is fixed. Bookmark this link to check: Apple - Support - System Status
I had the same problem and called Apple Support. They told me it was some issue related with deleting apps before iOS 13.3 and not being able to redownload them. There are no current solutions and I was told to wait until the next software update... they don’t know when it will be. :-( Back to Android Wear it is!

The solution that worked for me was applying for and downloading the apple iOS beta which worked for installing the Apple Watch app, but I cannot download and install the beta 🤣😂 other than that I would say give it a shot. It took a couple hours for my phone to decide but it did end up installing the watch app 😁 hope this works for everyone!

Just got mine fixed!
Go to home screen and tap the Watch app icon. It will switch from waiting to loading... And Walla!
We are having the same problem. Iphone 8 Software 13.3. Connected to wifi, plenty of space on the phone. Signed out and in to app store, restarted iphone multiple times. Reset network settings. Someone even suggested connecting through VPN, which didn't work. Not sure what else to try.

Bookmark it. Unless you have a 24 hours store where you can return it the problem will probably be resolved before you can return it.

wow me too! Looks like it’s a common issue with the 13.3 update. I just upgraded from my 6s to the X yesterday but even after restoring from a backup my built I apps say that. Sadly I already restored my 6s. Hopefully Apple will fix this soon
Just bought a watch tonight and cannot download the watch app either. I hate that I ever deleted it when I was a loyal Fitbit user. Ughhhh
