I have MacBook Pro 13' mid 2010 running on macOS Sierra version 10.12.6 . how can I upgrade it ? apperently it not letting me to do so

A mid 2010 MacBook Pro can be upgraded to High Sierra but not beyond that. See instructions in How to upgrade to macOS High Sierra - Apple Support
