I installed XtraFinder on my iMac and the latest version does not have a program icon in the applications folder. My issue is XtraFinder is supposed to launch automatically with finder but sometimes doesn't....therefore is there a way to manually launch this program?
I have sent a communication to the developer but he rarely responds so I was wondering of anyone amongst this august body has any insight.
Although the developer did not respond I found if I double click the XtraFinder plugin (XtraFinderPlugins.bundle) in the following location...................... /System/Library/Frameworks/FileProvider.framework/OverrideBundles.............it launches straight away. Note in Catalina the developer of XtraFinder provides a launch/loader icon.

Thanks but according to the instructions for Mojave (see/download/open xtrafinder.dmg) I only need to insert Xtrafinderplugins.bundle to a system subfolder (see below)......unless they want you to run the installer meant for prior versions of xtrafinder???? Just not exactly clear.
According to their website there is an icon in the Applications folder.

I couldn't say. It's not something I use. I guess you will have to wait for a response from the developer or hope someone else has installed it and happens to visit ASC and sees your post.
