    • Home Sharing uses TCP port 3689 and UDP port 5342. Make sure these are open and accessible on your router
    • If you’re using a PC, or you have another firewall set up on your computer or router, make sure TCP port 3689 and UDP port 5342 aren’t closed or blocked
    • try disabling IPv6 on your PC
    • You may need to consult further troubleshooting for security software to ensure it isn't blocking the connection

A Few Thoughts:

Was this working fine prior to Kaperskey?:

If you did not have Kaperskey installed, prior to this issue, then the issue is obviously caused by Kaperskey.

Temporarily Disable Kaperskey:

What happens when you currently disable Kaperskey? Does it then work?

Firewall Settings Getting In the Way?:

Check Kaperskey’sFirewall Settings”, to see if the Apple TV software is being blocked out. Also, you may need to disable Firewall Settings in Windows.

Any other Security Software Installed?:

Point Being: If there is other Security Software installed, then it each software‘s settings is tampering with the other. So, use just one Security Software.

When Removing Security Software:

Use only the uninstaller, as just removing it through Control Panel will leave files of it scrambled about on your computer. To avoid scams and the like, be certain that you download the uninstaller from the developer(Kaperskey) and none other.

Okay, thanks! I bought my own router, so they are not responsible....

If you Must Troubleshooting the Router:

Use the User Manual:

Going to the manufacturer’s homepage, view the User’s Manual. Perhaps it would tell you right in there? Most likely, it would be a PDF document, and none other. It might be in the original packaging.

Find the Make and Model of the Router:

Whoever the Manufacturer is and whatever the Model is of the router, you’d likely find this on the original packaging or on the router itself.

View User Blogs:

Some Manufacturer‘s have user blogs, where owners and users may troubleshoot this. So, perhaps you’d find this being discussed directly in the blogs.
