iphoto

Trying to import pictures off my iphone into my iphoto library....it takes some pictures and then I get this error for all the other pictures it wont import...anyone know what this is???

Users/jbrings/Pictures/iPhoto Library.photolibrary/Import/Masters/Roll 1/IMG_3536.HEIC

I suspect the OS on your Phone - which uses this HEIC files (IMG_3536.HEIC) is too modern for the iPhone on your Mac, which dates from about 7 years earlier.

Can you open one of these HEIC files with Preview?
