ipod music transfer to new macbook pro

I have just purchased a macbook pro 13 inch 2019 model running Mojave. I am having real difficulty getting the music from my ipod touch over to my macbook.

I get through all the way to the point where I am asking to sync and from the prompts it gives me, my fear is that I will sync the existing music on my macbook to my ipod and not the other way around as I am looking to do.

Anyone got any ideas how to get around this?
