2133 MHz DDR3 RAM in 17-inch Macbook Pro Late 2011 Works!

Attention All Retro Macbook Pro speed demons! I have 16GB of HyperX Impact 2133 MHz DDR3 RAM installed in my 17-inch Macbook Pro Late 2011 2.4 GHz running El Capitan (MacOS 10.11.6). I purchased the RAM on Amazon: Here Geekbench 4.0 shows an overall 5% increase in performance over the previously installed 16GB of 1600 MHz RAM. Some of the benchmarks improved by over 10%. Multi-core memory bandwidth increased over 27%!

I've also been running a 2TB SSD RAID 0 for over a year with the second SSD in the DVD bay. Both the RAID and the 2133 MHz RAM are widely said to be impossible. However, the late 2011 17-inch Macbook Pro is a Rolls Royce of a laptop. FYI - the RAID 0 drives don't need to be the same make, model, or capacity. I have a 4 TB Samsung EVO and a 1 TB Samsung EVO. The 4 TB SSD is partitioned for 1 TB of RAID, 2 TB of clone, and 1 TB of Time Machine backup for critical files. I'm getting over 900 MB/s read and write.

System is stable so far.

FYI - If you're really wanting speed. You can get more speed out of our system by closing unused applications. Geekbench shows significant performance reduction (20%+ with a lot of apps running at the same time). So, if you tend to keep a lot of apps open on your rig, you'll get a bigger performance boost for free by closing apps than you will by installing overclocked RAM.

I've attached a GeekBench comparison between my old 1600 MHz DDR3 and new 2133 MHz DDR3 RAM:
