Locked out of iPad

Hi all - we had a salon iPad that we used for music and we had a passive aggressive employee go on and change the log in information and now we can't get into our iPad. When we reached out and asked them for the updated information they replied that they didn't remember.

Any suggestions on how we can get around this because apparently Apple's only option is getting in contact with the "former owner' who is actually a former employee with an attitude.

If it's locked to their Apple ID/password, you need to provide Apple with proof that the salon owns the device. They will then be able to reset it for you.
