itunes on ubuntu

just got a used iphone it needs to connect to itunes befor it will finishb turning on but after 3hr.s i just dont see it. dose itunes run on linux? i haven't herd anything about linux users not allowed to own iphones.

Thanks for posting in Apple Support Communities! I see that your iPhone is requesting access to iTunes, and that it's not working out after an extended time.


As of this time, iTunes is only available on Mac and Windows. You may need to ensure that iTunes is up to date on your Mac or PC: Update to the latest version of iTunes


If this doesn't resolve the situation, please share more details about what you're seeing on the screen of your iPhone, as well as on the screen of your computer (e.g. are there any messages explaining what the iPhone needs to do, error messages, etc).
