The auto correct keyboard covers my text field while typing on Facebook Messenger on my iPad. I can hit the down arrow to see the text field but as soon as I start typing the auto correct/suggestion bar pops up from the bottom and completely covers my text field. I have deleted and re installed twice to no avail. I am using the Apple keyboard and running the very latest OS on my iPad.

I also have this problem. I have found that rotating to portrait and back will fix it.
Still just really annoying and has gotten through multiple OS releases and it’s still a problem.
Yes the smart magnetic case keyboard. Using the pop up floating keyboard works fine.
Do you mean that you use the Smart Keyboard for the iPad? I don't use Facebook Messenger, so is the text box at the bottom of the app? Have you contacted Facebook support to ask them about this? Is this app designed for the iPad, or just the iPhone? I believe you are best served by contacting Facebook support.
I have the same problem. It seems to only be a recent problem. I’m using a Logitech Slim Folio (physical) keyboard on a regular iPad purchased new in 2017.
The suggestion works but it puts the floating keyboard on the screen, blocking content. Since I’m using a physical keyboard, I don’t need that floating keyboard. So this is a klunky workaround. And yes, Facebook Messenger is designed to work on the iPad in landscape mode.
Again, this is a new problem.
