Card cannot be verified

I had to get a new check card through Chartway. When i tried to add it to Apple Pay it says “card cannot be verified at this time”. I got a new phone (11pro) it is saying the same thing. I’ve tried turning off my passcode. I’ve called Chartway, they said it was an Apple problem. We’ve tried changing things in family sharing. I can’t get it to work. Any suggestions?

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities. It seems like the card is not able to be verified at this time. There are a couple things you can try that may be able to help. I would recommend you use this article to help troubleshoot the issue.


"Make sure that you can add a card

If you can't add a card to Wallet to use with Apple Pay, check Apple Pay on the System Status page. If there's an issue, try to add a card again after the issue is resolved.
