its shows update required to activate iphone. only shutdown button showing there. cant connect to itunes too.

See this, If you see an Update Failed or Apple Pay Not Available alert after iOS update or restart - Apple Support

i forgot to tell that i reset my device couple of hours ago. switched it on trying to setting up but stuck on 'update required'.
