Can anyone tell me how to remove tempo information from an audio file?
I'm making percussion samples - numerous small audio files - and having embedded tempo info is a big annoyance. Any ideas? even third party software that allows for stripping out tempo info? Thanks.
Right-click on Region>Tempo>Remove Tempo From Audio File.
Should pretty much do what you want.
Yes. Same with right-click on Region. Not being at the computer I pulled the wording from thin air. Close enough for R'n'R.

I'm on version 10.4.4 (can't update further on my 6-year old MacBook) and I found it, but it's slightly different.
I selected the region, went to the local menu on the main page at the top of the track list, then: Edit>Tempo>Remove original recording tempo.
Oh! It's actually in three different menus - the main edit menu, the local edit menu, and the right-click menu. Jeez...now I'm embarrassed that i missed it.
