I recently bought the airpods pro. I have tried to update to the latest firmware any way I have read I can. I put the case in the charger keep the sync iphone next to it. Nothing.
I notice that when I close the case the airpods disconnect from my iphone. Is this the way it should be? And if this is the case how can the airpods update with no connection?
I also tried it with the case open, nothing.
Can someone help?

This seems to be something they havent figured out. Apple recently replaced my pros in store, but in store both pods are packaged separately. so theyre running 2 different versions of the firmware so only ONE connects. I still havent found any solution.
Hey, There! How come the Apple Service was trying to help me, when calling them the other day, to have the firmware of AirPods Pro updated to 2C54 since none of the methods on the Net had worked for me? They could have easily voiced that 2B588 is the latest version!!! Needless to say, the firmware is still 2B588 on my AirPods Pro.
