Mac OS X 10.5.8 documents download help
Can I download my documents from my old i Mac OS X 10.5.8 to my new I-pad? If so, what are the steps? Or who is the best resource for help?

What type(s) of documents do you want to transfer? Photos? Microsoft Word/Office docs? Something else?
As far as I know there is no direct route from the iMac to the iPad for any of your files.
If you have a new Mac that you sync your iPad with, then it may be possible to transfer your files from the old iMac to an external drive (flash drive, ssd or hdd) and move them to the newer Mac. From there you will likely have a path to move them into your iPad.
