I want to know how to display the actual number of battery percentage on my phone instead of just the picture of the battery. I’m wondering where I change that in Settings

Well ok but is it the iOS or the phone here it does not say iOS limitations only says iPhone X or later so that would apply to the poster which shows iPhone11

On the iPhone X and later models there isn’t enough room in the status bar to display battery percentage without removing something else. And Apple has decided that things like carrier, signal strength and Wi-Fi status trump battery percentage.
You need to swipe down on your screen.
Then you see the percentage battery power left.
The percentage itself cannot be shown in the upper right corner of the screen.
Settings...Battery...Battery Percentage..tap on
That setting is not available on iOS 13.3.
