No “erase” option for factory reset

Hello! I’m trying to wipe the computer to sell it but it’s not letting me click “erase” in Disk Utility. I only have one disk option- “Macintosh HD.”

Has anyone had this problem and fixed it? Thank you!

Its a MacBook Air 2011

Make sure to boot from Recovery Mode or Internet Recovery Mode. Within Disk Utility in Recovery Mode click on "View" and select "Show All Devices" so that the physical drive appears in the left pane of Disk Utility.
