My new Mac has some serious SERIOUS GUI problems

Dear Tim Cook --- PLEASE someone needs to help me with this or fix the company. Please don't remove this post because it's critical of Apple --- DO something to fix this!

My new Mac has some serious SERIOUS GUI problems.

  • I've unchecked the box regarding opening folders in tabs, but still cannot get two folders to open at the same time on the desktop. Checking and unchecking does NOTHING. I've looked in the system prefs for Dock and that makes no difference either. This was always default behavior, why did it change???
  • Dialogue boxes, for example, using GCon, are nearly IMPOSSIBLE to see. The list of files that show up in Save As are in the faintest #fefefe color, it's like the next color up from WHITE. I have this problem with the whole interface in that the lines separating the content and columns in windows listings are nearly impossible to see as well, and it appears that the content is just floating without boundaries on the page (my perennial complaint about why I hate Windows) Is there any way to change these lines to a darker color so I can actually SEE without getting a headache after 1 hour of use? This is mind-boggling. (Same complaint I have always had with PCs/Windows)
  • When I accidentally hit the full screen on the browser, there was NO way to run the pointer up top to reveal the drop down to click the double arrow to restore the regular window as there always has been. HS&S (Hunt, Search and Swear) finally revealed a menu that could put it back to normal. Keep in mind, these are things you know how to change, but now you are being sent on a wild goose chase to find WHERE. (Same complaint I have with PCs/Windows)
  • Finally, everything is so pale and small, how can I change the resolution to be more Mac-like and clear, in other worse, USER FRIENDLY? I'm tired of feeling like I'm using a badly-coded webpage!
  • In addition to the numerous hardware issues this model has (apple logo, power cord, keyboard unresponsive, no sound on startup, etc) I'm thinking unless they stop devolving into a PC, this is my last Mac after owning every single Mac ever made, still have 35 of them in my house.

PLEASE PLEASE someone tell me these weak GUI issues will be fixed, that Apple is listening, because after all these years loving my Mac I am now experiencing a severe depression having to cope with these issues while still committed to a job that keeps me on the computer 16 hours per day, a job I took as a second career just BECAUSE I loved the Mac so much!!!! But now I have constant eyestrain and headaches after just a few hours using.

Ok Uncle Tim ain't here nor anyone from Apple, just users like yourself, though after 35 years of mac use you might know that.

Have you tried turning down the brightness of your mac, they are by default set too high and the colour temperature is probably set at 9200K which is too blue.

Open System Preferences> Displays, turn the brightness down to at least half way if not lower.

now press on the Colour tab and hold down the option/ alt key and click on Calibrate, this will bring up Expert Mode

follow the instructions as it talks you through the steps to make a rudimentary calibration of your screen.

It will ask you what gamma you want to use, I use 2.2, and it will ask you what colour temperature you want,

for me I use 5500k as I am grading images for photographic reproduction, most people would choose 6500k.

That should improve the viewing experience.

As for the other problems can you list them.
