Screen record with no audio
Using Screenshot on iMac, video looks fine but cannot get audio to record. Running Mojave 10.14.6
help?

You don't say what sound you are trying to record but if it is your voice narrating the video use a better quality external mic. The built-in mic is not very good quality for recording external sounds.
trying to record a training video from my browser, so trying to use system audio, but no luck. I could use the internal mic but its sound is less than optimal and I have to be quiet etc. not the way to go. Maybe I should try going to Catalina? thx
still no sound being recorded, but thx for confirming I was doing things right.
Did you scroll down to the section labeled "Use QuickTime Player" and follow the instructions for recording?
yes I did try the Use Quicktime Player method, still no audio, thx
correction, there is some audio but its recording via the microphone that's built in, and the sound quality shows it, not clean. thx
