Blue Bubble - Message sent as an iMessage. This, when setup, is used for messages between Apple Devices. The messages are sent over the Internet using Cellular internet connection or WiFi internet connection.

Green Bubble - Message sent as an SMS Message (This is generally the method used to send and receive messages with phones that are not Apple iPhones) This method uses the cellular service provider's SMS connection.
