Replacement AirPod will not connect to my phone

I have an android and I recently bought a replacement airpod but when I put it in my case they will not connect to my phone now and I can't even get them to pop up in my bluetooth

Did you try putting both of them in the case, opening the lid and holding down the button in the rear until it blinks white?
