iwatch icloud locked

Is there ANY way to make this iwatch work if someone else owned it first?

I bought it on ebay and apparently the original owner sold it to a pawn shop without removing his code.

The only way is for the original owner to remove it. If you purchased this on eBay and it was not advertised that it was Activation Locked, then file a claim with eBay for a refund. The Watch is useless to you with the original owner removing the lock.
