Ipod Touch

My Grandson gave me his old 8GB 2nd generation Ipod touch. After charging screens shows Ipod Disabled Connect to Itunes. Is there away to get this to work?

connecting to itunes with disabled ipod touch 7 I have scearch and looked at ways to get my sons ipod touch 7 to connect to itunes. How to enable a disabled iPod that has been reset My son's iPod is disabled. It's telling me to connect to iTunes. I've tried all of the advice I have found and I even tried to factory reset it from my iPhone. It is no longer showing up on my AppleID. How can I get his iPod to open back up? Thanks!
