How do I know if a MacBook is a refurbished model?

How do I know if a MacBook is a refurbished model ? Coz what i saw my part number start with Z


does refurbished MacBooks usually start with F or either G for the part number?


the attached photo is something what I’m referring to. It’s not mine.

What part number?


Are you asking about a serial number...

you can check the SN against a couple reliable sources:

I don't quite get what's up with the box or yours if it's similar. That's not a standard model number. Mine has a part number on the box that's the same as the standard model number. A typical model number should be something like M****A/LL. That would mean new (M) revision A and then a country code (LL is for the United States and Canada).
