No. There is nothing about it that would help performance.

Download Etrecheck from the Mac App Store and post the report it generates here. We may be able to help you identify what's wrong.

No so-called cleaning apps that claim to speed up your Mac will help. They're pretty much all garbage.

Nothing much jumps out other than you're running an old slow machine with a slow mechanical hard drive and a recent version of MS Office, which is a serious resource hog.

You could probably improve the performance by upgrading the old mechanical hard drive to an SSD, but beyond that you're stuck. You have a dual core i5 and 8GB of RAM that can't be upgraded.

Did you delete these filers & Restart?

/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.microsoft.OneDriveUpdaterDaemon.plist

/Library/LaunchAgents/com.divx.dms.agent.plist

/Library/LaunchAgents/com.divx.update.agent.plist

And get a leaner Browser than Safari...

FWIW, I agree with Tim, You might find it useful. It's not something I would need.

Use the additional text icon under the reply window to paste it in.

That's the choice I would make.
