Cannot backup my iPhone to my iMac
Can anyone tell me why I cannot back my iPhone to my iMac anymore? Every time I try I get this message and my iPhone is connected.

Pocket lint in the port can be an issue.
A compressed air blowout or a very gentle sweep of the port with a toothpick may remove anything lodged in it.
And I'm sure that Apple suggest that you never ever put anything into the port that isn't a cabe, so you do this at your own risk.

Thank you!
It looked like a very small piece of lint may have come out when I (gently) shot some compressed air into the port. I'm guessing that did the trick. I'm back to being able to Sync and BackUp my iPhone once again. Thanks again!
Most of the time that has been attributed to a bad or flaky cable, more often an Apple cable than not.
I might agree with you but I don't have a problem with my iPad on the same cable.
That would seem to preclude that Rod.
You're welcome. Happy to help.
